Last year I taught goat & alpaca yoga classes at Aurora Farm in Winnipeg and I'm happy to let you know that I'll be teaching there again this year...with even MORE classes!
I'll be teaching on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00 pm beginning May 10 through to June 29. Jessica Wyn will be teaching family classes on Sundays at 1:00 beginning May 13 (that Mother's Day class is free!).
This time period is perfect to interact with the baby goats as they're born and as they grow over the weeks. It's really beautiful watching them learn the world around them, gradually learning how to jump and kick, and finally figuring out their personal space around humans. A highlight for me last year was taking a 2 day old baby goat back to their mom after they fell asleep in a water bowl. <3
Classes will focus on deep tissue stretching (yin), strengthening (hatha and gentle vinyasa), and also have you at optimal goat petting level. Modifications offered; no yoga experience necessary. Of course, you're always welcome to spend the entire class petting the cute animals.
These classes are NOT weather dependent! We practice in a barn so you may want to bring a sweater. It's recommended to bring a large towel to put your mat on top of it.
Single class - $15
5 class pass - $60
Unlimited pass - $180
(kids 12 and under are free for the Sunday family classes)
Drop-ins are welcome. You can also book private classes for you and your friends! Contact Louise at 204-261-6279 or email@example.com or through Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/aurorafarmwinnipeg
I will also be teaching goat & farm animal yoga at 10 Acre Woods in Anola! Some other animals that may join in include chickens, turkeys, and pigs. I'll be teaching on Tuesdays at 6:00 pm, Saturdays at 6:00 pm, and Sundays at 10:00 am. Price is $25 per class.
These classes ARE weather dependent! We will be practicing in the open farm yard so dress appropriately. Classes are set to begin on Saturday, April 21 provided the weather continues to improve.
